Music/Audio Recording

Years ago, when the Beatles recorded their records, it would cost a million dollars to buy the equipment and furnish a studio. Nowadays things are different. A typical computer found in most homes has the power and ability to record music at a quality even better than anything that was possible back then. However, most people will not ever explore this use of their personal computer.

For many years I have enjoyed learning this way of recording and have created a wonderful studio which includes little more than a computer, mixing board, microphone and speakers. Through much patience and experience I have gained the knowledge and understanding of recording music in this way and the resulting product is CD quality. Lately I have recorded jingles for commercials on radio and TV as well as individual songs and complete CDs.

A musician myself, I am thankful for the gift to be able to play many instruments, but it is the ability to record and edit music on a PC that I really enjoy. I am able to see the wave forms on the monitor as well as hear the music, and that opens up new possibilities, such as pitch shifting and time stretching, just to scratch the surface.

I would like to meet with you to discuss how to help you take your song ideas and turn them into a CD.

Examples:

Kim Stacey - By Your Side

Dwight Kent - Hearts

Doug Mallory - O'Farrell Jingle

New Glasgow Folks - She's Nova Scotia

Dwight Mallory - September Mood

Dwight Mallory - Don't Cross Christ Out Of Christmas
